2 Day's Workshop On Arduino

After the Short break, We came with the 2 Days Workshop which is based on Microcontroller Arduino. It was an introductory workshop to teach the enthusiast students about the Internet of Things, How the World is being smarter with IoT and Smarter appliances and How it works?
The workshop was organized at Computer Department, GEC Patan on September 11-12th, 2017.

I'm Dipak Parmar (https://mozillians.org/en-US/u/Dipakparmar) mozillian at heart, I am contributing in Privacy and security, L10N, web literacy, webVR, Rust, connected community, community building and proud Club Captain at Mozilla Club Patan, Gujarat, India.

This Workshop was focused on getting students up and running with Arduino quickly so that students will understand the basic procedures for working with Arduino and can explore further on their own.

What is Arduino?

  • An Arduino is a small computer that you can program to control things like lights or motors along with listening to components like motion detection sensors. It can give your project interactivity without needing an expensive and large circuit. Instead, you use a computer to program the Arduino, upload your code to the Arduino, and hook up your circuit.

Nowadays, the world is becoming smarter and smarter and technologies are growing up faster. In the next few years, we can think that the how much world will be smarter and using more smarter devices. So it is necessary to learn about the IoT and focusing on that we planned to host a workshop on IoT and We choose Arduino as an IoT Device to aware them.

The workshop was divided into 2 Days. First Day, We started with the introduction of Internet Of Things and all about Smart Devices. We shared history & progress of IoT Devices year by year and how they are helping us to make our life easier. The workshop was led by Assistant Professor of Computer Dept., Govt. Engineering College namely Mr. Harshad Chaudhari. He is Data Structure, Algorithms &  IoT Expert. In the beginning, We helped the participants to set up an IDE for Arduino on their devices. Arduino IDE is supporting Basic C Language so it easy to understand to its programs and implement it on Arduino board.
